The Northland Community & Technical College baseball team is set to face North Dakota State College of Science in the first round of the Region XIII Baseball Tournament Thursday, May 9 at the St. Cloud Municipal Athletic Complex. The 10-team tournament features the top-three teams from each MCAC baseball division – North, Central and South – plus North Dakota State College of Science. 

The tournament was seeded by coaches' vote and finalized Tuesday night, with the one-, four-, five-, eight- and nine-seeded teams being placed in Bracket A and seeds two, three, six, seven and 10 being placed in Bracket B.

    1. Alexandria 26-10; 2. Rochester 27-14; 3. St. Cloud 27-11; 4. MN North - Itasca 27-15; 5. Century 31-15; 6. Riverland 28-11; 7. Ridgewater 16-16; 8. Northland 20-16; 9. North Dakota State College of Science 12-22; MN North - Hibbing 14-24.

The Pioneers face the Wildcats of NDSCS at 10 a.m. Thursday morning. The Wildcats are one of two sub-.500 teams in the tournament, but they are part of a conference that includes seven NJCAA Division II schools. The Wildcats are 3-2 against teams in the MCAC. 

The top-two teams in bracket will advance to the North Plains District Tournament scheduled for May 16-18 in St. Cloud.  
 

2024 Region XIII Baseball Tournament Information

SCTCC is hosting the Region 13 baseball tournament May 9-10, 2024 at the Municipal Athletic Complex. The tournament will feature 10 teams from Region 13 trying to qualify for the District Tournament being played May 16-18,2024 also at the Municipal Athletic Complex.  The Region 13 play in consists of two 5 team brackets. Bracket A will play on Putz Field, and Bracket B will play on Faber Field.

Teams- Alexandria, Itasca, Century, Northland, NDSCS

Bracket B

 Teams- Rochester, St. Cloud, Riverland, Ridgewater, Hibbing

Tickets: Tickets for the Region 13 tournament are purchased online. Online ticket purchases are recommended and cheaper than buying at the door. The daily ticket gains access to either field for that day.

Adults- $11.50

Students- $7.50

Cash tickets are available at the door for $15 each day.

Municipal Athletic Complex Rules

NO Pets are allowed on the MAC grounds. They can be in your car only.

NO Tailgating, BBQ or picnic on MAC Grounds.  There is a city park 1 block south of the MAC

NO Outside food and beverage. The MAC retains all rights to food and beverage.
