Virginia, MN - The Northland men's basketball team defeated Mesabi Range 81-61 Sunday afternoon in Virginia, MN, to complete a 2-0 road trip that also included an 85-78 win over Itasca one day prior, in Grand Rapids. 
Bakri Gubara and Isaiah Williams reached double figures in scoring both games for the Pioneers. Gubara scored 19 points and collected eight rebounds in the win over Itasca Saturday, and he added 28 points and seven rebounds in Sunday's lopsided win over Mesabi Range. Williams scored 12 points and he blocked four shots in Saturday's game, and he added 18 points and six rebounds Sunday.
