Legacy Athletics Fund

Northland Community & Technical College is proud to honor longtime athletic director and coach Deb Jacobson with the creation of the Legacy Athletics Fund.

Deb Jacobson joined Northland in 1973 and played a pivotal role in establishing the college’s first women’s athletic programs. Her dedication, leadership, and vision helped shape generations of student-athletes and built a foundation that continues to strengthen Northland athletics today.

What is the Legacy Athletics Fund?

The Legacy Athletics Fund is a new initiative designed to provide ongoing support for Northland’s athletic programs. This fund ensures our student-athletes have the resources they need to excel—on the court, in the classroom, and as leaders in their communities.

Your contribution helps:
  • Sustain and grow Northland’s athletic programs.
  • Provide essential resources for student-athletes.
  • Carry forward a tradition of excellence inspired by Deb Jacobson.

Why It Matters

Deb Jacobson’s 34-year career (1973–2007) transformed Northland athletics. She was instrumental in building programs following the passage of Title IX, opening doors for countless women to compete, grow, and lead. This fund honors her extraordinary legacy and ensures future generations have the same opportunities.
