Duluth, MN - The Northalnd men's basketball extended its winning streak to seven games with a pair weekend wins over MCAC Northern Division foes. On Saturday, the Pioneers hosted the Thunder of Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College and rolled to a 110-51 win. Six Northland players reached double figures in the win, led by 23 points from Kenny Placide and 21 points from Neal Garcia. Also reaching double figures were Bakri Gubara, 15, Zack Meyer, 13, Ibrahim Nasir, 12, and Quincy Leday, 11. 
Northland got off to another fast Start Sunday, outscoring Lake Superior by 21 points in the first half en route to a 79-66 win. Gubara, 31 points, seven rebounds and three assists, and Meyer, 20 points, seven rebounds and four assists, had big games for the Pioneers.
