Hibbing, MN - The Northland women's basketball team improved to 10-1 in MCAC Northern Division play 15-5 overall after knocking off Hibbing 88-49 Saturday afternoon in Hibbing. Saturday's game was a rematch of last year's Region 13B championship game, and it was over early, with the Pioneers leading 21-5 after one quarter was in the books and 46-18 at the half. 
One week after recording her first career triple-double, Northland sophomore Janie Wunderlich put up a double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds to go along with seven assists. Teammate Carly Mekash added 21 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Macy Skyberg, 14 points, and Holly Steer, 11 points, also finished in double figures for the Pioneers. 
Next up for the Pioneers is a Wednesday night showdown against MCAC Northern Division-leading Rainy River (10-0 MCAC North, 14-8 overall). Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
