International Falls - Third seeded Northland upset second seeded Central Lakes 12-8 in the opening game of the 2021 Region 13B Tournament Thursday afternoon (May 20) at Rainy River Community College in International Falls. The Pioneers couldn't much of anything going in game two, however, and dropped a 6-1 decision to the top-seeded and host Voyageurs. 

The Pioneers will be back in action tomorrow (May 21) in an elimination game gainst the Central Lake Raiders. Opening pitch is slated for 11 a.m. The winner will face top-seeded Rainy River in the first game of the championship series at 1:30 p.m. Game two, if necessary, will follow at 4 p.m.
