Thief River Falls, MN - The Northland Softball Team (9-5, 10-9) will wrap up the 2021 regular season with a double header against MCAC Northern Division-leading Rainy River (13-1, 14-10) Saturday at the Northland softball field. Rainy River has clinched the top spot in the Northern Division and will host the Region 13B Tournament held May 20-21. The Pioneers trail the Central Lakes Raiders (10-4, 12-11) by a game for the number two spot in the division.
The Pioneers and Raiders split a two-game series in Brainerd on Wednesday, May 5. Central Lakes claimed the opener by a 9-7 score and Northland bounced back in game two to claim a 7-5 win behind a pair of home runs by Justine Pratchler.
