Thief River Falls, Minn - Northland Community & Technical College swept an MCAC Northern Division volleyball match against the visiting Itasca Vikings Wednesday night. The Pioneers dominated the first two sets, winning 25-8 in set number one and 25-12 in the second set. The Vikings made things interesting in the third set, which was tied 20-20 at one point. The Pioneers won five of the final six points to win the set 25-21 and secure the three-set sweep.

Chloe Kuznia coordinated the Northland offensive attack with 32 assists, with hitter
Madison Witte continuing her strong season with 12 kills.
Northland improved to 3-3 in the MCAC Northern Division and 5-6 overall with the win. Itasca fell to 0-6 in the conference and 1-6 overall with the loss.
The Pioneers are off for a week but return action Wednesday, Sept. 29 with a trip to International Falls to face the Rainy River Voyageurs (1-3 conference, 2-7 overall)
