Virginia, Minn. - The Northland men's basketball team pulled away from Mesabi Range during the five-minute overtime period to claim a 74-67 road win Saturday in Virginia. The Pioneers held a slight 29-27 advantage after one half was in the books but the Norse rallied with a 32-30 edge in the second half to force overtime. 

Mesabi Range's Mark Campbell II led all scorers with 17 points and 13 total rebounds. 

Five Northland players finished in double figures. Starters Quincy Leday and Zack Meyer each scored 14 points, with Leday adding Meyer adding six rebounds and three assists. Jaylen Webb also reached the 14-point mark while playing more than 30 minutes in a non-starting role. Also in double figures for the Pioneers were Ashawn Phillips with a 13-point, 11-rebound double-double, and D'Mani Nettles with 10 points. 

The Pioneers (7-8 overall, 3-2) look to extend their conference winning streak to four games when they host Itasca (10-9, 4-2). Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
