Alexandria, Minn - 

The Northland Community & Technical College volleyball team saw its three-match winning streak stopped with a 3-0 loss at Alexandria Wednesday night. The host Legends claimed a competitive opening set 25-19. They dominated the second set 25-14 and they completed the sweep with a 25-18 third set win. 

The Legends effectively shut down the Pioneers offensively, holding the Pioneers to just 20 kills as a team, led by nine from sophomore Madison Witte. Northland setter Chloe Kuznia finished the three-set match with 20 assists. Haven Becket was the only Pioneer to reach double figures in digs, with 15 on the night. 

The Pioneers are clinging to first place in the MCAC Northern Division. The Pioneers host Itasca, currently ranked third in the division, Friday night at 6:30 p.m.
