Thief River Falls -
The Northland volleyball team won a pair of matches in straight sets during a weekend home stand to improve to 13-4 overall and 10-2 in MCAC Northern Division play. The Pioneers defeated Fond du Lac Tribal & Community College (0-10, 0-11) in straight sets Friday night, before capping off the weekend with a win in straight sets over the Minnesota North College - Hibbing (4-9, 4-13) Saturday afternoon.
Up next for the Pioneers team is a trip to Alexandria to face the Legends of Alexandria Technical & Community College. The Legends are currently tied for the fourth in the MCAC Northern Division with a conference record of 7-5 and an overall mark of 10-8.
