Ely, Minn. - The Northland men's basketball team wrapped up the 2021-22 regular season with a two-game split in its Saturday-Sunday road trip to Cloquet and Ely. The Pioneers dropped a 76-75 decision to the Fond du Lac Thunder Saturday afternoon in Ely, but bounced back with a 69-45 win over Vermilion Sunday afternoon in Ely. 

The Pioneers finished the regular season 13-11 overall and 8-6 in the MCAC Northern Division. The Pioneers' third place finish in the MCAC North qualifies them for the 2022 MCAC/Region 13 Tournament to be held Friday through Sunday, Feb. 25-27 at Anoka-Ramsey Community College.
