Aurora, Minn. - The Northland baseball team was swept in a Sunday afternoon double header against MCAC Northern Division Rival Mesabi Range. The Norsemen claimed the opener 7-2 and they completed the sweep with a 6-1 win in the nightcap.
Sunday's twinbill was the first official MCAC Northern Division action of the season for the Pioneers. It was also the Pioneers' first action in 20 days and the team was coming off back-to-back wins – 7-6 over Rainey River and 15-0 over Minnesota West – in non-divisional games on April 4.
