Thief River Falls -
The Pioneers are back at home Saturday with a key matchup against Minnesota North College - Mesabi Range. Both teams bring 6-3 conference records into Saturday's match. The Pioneers defeated the Lady Norse in five sets when the teams met earlier this year at Minnesota North - Mesabi Range's campus in Virginia, Minn.
Northland enters Saturday's match on a two-match losing streak. The Pioneers fell in four sets at Itasca last week and they were swept 3-0 at Central Lakes.
The Raiders previously defeated the Pioneers in straight sets Aug. 31 in Thief River Falls. They completed the season sweep with a three-set win over the Pioneers Wednesday night by scores of 25-19, 25-18 and 25-16.
Madison Witte recorded 10 kills and
Chloe Kuznia finished with 21 assists in the Pioneers' three-set loss.
The Raiders improved to 9-0 in MCAC Northern Division matches and 14-4 overall. The Pioneers fell to 6-3 in division matches and 9-5 overall. The Pioneers also moved from second to third in the division standings as a result of the loss, with Minnesota North College - Itasca (6-2, 10-3) moving into second place.
