Thief River Falls, Minn. - 

The Northland Community & Technical College women's basketball team was firing on all cylinders Sataurday with a dominant 81-20 win over Minnesota North College - Mesabi Range. The Pioneers led 22-4 after one quarter of play. The lead was 51-9 at the half. It ballooned to 61-15 through three quarters of play, before the Pioneers outscored the Norse 20-5 over the final 10 minutes to reach the final margin. 

There were eight Pioneers in uniform Saturday and all eight played at least 21 minutes. Emma Osborn led all scorers with 23 points, including five three-point buckets. Lynelle Charnoski, 13 points and nine rebounds, and Riley Mooney, 11 points, 11 rebounds, also reached double figures in scoring. Joining Mooney with double-digit rebounds was Brooke Olson, who grabbed 10 rebounds to go with five points off the bench. 

Up next for the Pioneers is a trip to Grand Rapids to face Minnesota North College - Itasca Wednesday night. The opening tip is at 5:30 p.m.
