Thief River Falls, Minn. - 

The Northland Community & Technical College men's basketball team got off to a slow start and never fully recovered in a 91-57 setback against the Mayville State University JV team Tuesday night at the Northalnd Gym. 

The Comets opened the game on a 12-0 run over the game's first five minutes. The Pioneers closed the gap to six points, at 16-10. The Pioneers stayed within six to eight points of the Comets for a while before the Comets broke the game open with a 14-0 run that made the score 36-16. 

The Comets led 45-21 at the half and they continued to add to their lead in the second half to produce the final 34-point margin. 

Rah'meen Harris, AJ Jennings and Jaelin Domingue all finished with 12 points for the Pioneers.
