Grand Rapids, Minn. - 

Ethan Horn led the Northland men's wrestling team with a third-place finish at 141 pounds Friday afternoon at the Itasca Invitational hosted by Minnesota North College - Itasca. The tournament featured entires from host MNC-Itasca, Concordia College - Moorhead, and the MNC-Vermilion Wrestling Club in addition to the Pioneers. 

Competing in a five-man round robin, Horn picked up a win by fall over Daniel Whited of the Vermilion Club team and a 17-3 major decision victory over Hayden Trupe of MNC-Itasca. Horn had over two minutes of riding time and led for most of the match against eventual runner-up Nelson Anderson of MNC-Itasca, but got thrown twice in the third period to lose by 16-6 major decision. Horn also dropped a match to eventual champion Gabe Bellefeuille of Concordia by a score of 10-8. 

Also placing for the Pioneers were Mitchell Christen, fifth at 149, Josiah Crandall, fifth at 125 and Lucas Urness, sixth at heavyweight. 

Competing unattached for the Pioneers were Christian Kirchner, sixth at 149; Ethan Stegman, fifth at 157; Elijah Miranda, fifth at 174; Josh Herrera, seventh at 174; Dexter Pollard, fourth at 197; and Avant Jackson, fifth at heavyweight.
