Thief River Falls, MN -

Northland Community & Technical College led by as many as six points in the first half but couldn't keep pace with Minnesota North College - Vermilion in the second half, as the vising Ironhawks pulled away for a 93-70 win. 

The Pioneers led 32-26 with 3:13 left in the first half. The Ironhawks ended the half on a 12-5 run to take a 38-37 lead into the locker room. 

The second half was close early, with the Pioneers taking a 47-45 lead following a 10-7 run to open the half. The teams traded scores for a while, witth the Pioneers' final lead being a 49-47 advantage following a Jason Jack layup with 13:47 remaining. The Ironhawks tied the game on a pair of freethrows by Jalloh Rashad with 13:23 left, and they took the lead for good on a bucket by Elijah Gayle with 12:55 left in the game. 

Vermilion's Quyavant Douglas led all scorers with 35 points. 

Top scorers for the Pioneers were Malic Osei-Tutu with 15 points, Shawn Green with 14 points, Tavon Petteway with 11 and Jason Jack with 11.
