Thief River Falls, Minn. - 

Visiting Minnesota State Community & Technical College defeated Northland 77-73 in a Minnesota College Athletic Conference inter-division game held in the Northland Gym in Thief River Falls. 
The Pioneers led 51-46 with 10 minutes remaining in the contest. The Spartans took control with a 14-4 run over the next six minutes that put them in the driver's seat the rest of the way as they held off the Pioneers' attempts to rally. 
The Pioneers led 38-34 at the half and as many as 10 in the second half. 
MState's Foday Sheriff led all scorers with 22 points. Mason Muir, 17, and Yonis Mohamud, 16, also finished in double figures. 
Leading scorers for the Pioneers were Tre Jones with 18 points, Etienne Aime with 13, and Lewis Jones with 11 points.
