Six Northland Community & Technical College wrestlers earned top-eight finishes at the season-opening Jim Fox Invitational, held Saturday, Nov. 2 at the University of Dubuque.
Sophomore
Josiah Crandall was the Pioneers' top finisher with a fifth-place finish at 125 pounds.
Freshmen
Gabriel Michel, 125;
Qilee Jackson, 197; and
Avant Jackson, heavyweight, finished sixth. Freshmen
Kale Geiser, 149, and
Michael Anderson, heavyweight, tied for seventh in their respective weight classes after the seventh-place matches were canceled due to time constraints.
The Pioneers will be back in action Saturday, Nov. 9 at the Luther Open in Decorah, Iowa.
