The Northland men's basketball team saw its season end Saturday with a 105-86 loss to Central Lakes at the Northland Gym in Thief River Falls.
The Pioneers trailed 30-27 with 6:45 left in the opening half, but the raiders got on a roll from there and 20-11 run to close out the half and take a 50-38 lead into the locker room. The Raiders led by as many as 22 in the second half and won by 19. All 14 Raiders that were in uniform saw the court, with three players scoring in double figures. Quamar Gresham led the Raiders with 24 points.
The Pioneers had a huge game from freshman
Tavon Petteway, who recorded a double-double with a game-high 25 points and 13 rebounds. Also reaching double figures in scoring for the Pioneers were freshman
Jason Jack with 18 points, and sophomore
Malic Osei-Tutu, who scored 19 points and dished out six assists in his final game as a Northland Pioneer.
