Tucson, Ariz. -
The Northland baseball split its first four games at the Tucson Invitational earlier this week. The Pioneers were swept by Bismarck State 13-3 in five innings, and 11-5 on the first day of action Monday, March 4. They followed that up with a 3-2 win over Concordia University of Wisconsin Tuesday morning (March 5), and a 4-3 win over California Miramar University Tuesday afternoon.
Following a scheduled off day on Wednesday, March 6, the Pioneers were scheduled to face Miles Community College in a doubleheader on Thursday, March 7, but both games were rained out. Rain also forced the cancelation of games against Williston State College and Dakota College at Bottineau on Friday, March 8.
