Thief River Falls, Minn. -
Northland Community & Technical College saw its two-game home winning streak come to an end with an 85-84 loss to MCAC North-leading Central Lakes College Saturday afternoon in the Northland Gym.
The Pioneers trailed by as many as 22 points in the opening half of Saturday's MCAC North battle against the Raiders. The Pioneers trimmed the lead to 17 points by the end of the half and they were within five points of the Raiders with 10 minutes remaining.
The Pioneers took their first lead since the 16:31 mark of first half on a
Tre Jones three-pointer with 2:48 remaining. Jones' three-pointer made the score 78-77.
A two-point bucket by TyQuan O'Neal gave the Raiders an 85-84 lead with eight seconds remaining
