Thief River Falls, Minn. -

The Northland women's basketball team moved into sole possession of first in the MCAC North on the same day that Northland Community & Technical College celebrated the 50th anniversary of its women's athletics program. The Pioneers outscored the Central Lakes Raiders in each quarter of Saturday's game to secure a 70-48 win. 

Sophomore Josie Iverson led all scorers with 18 points. Freshman Rylie Klopp was the only other Pioneer to reach double figures with 10 points. Hannah Halvorson and Jade Reese dominated the boards with eight rebounds apiece. Reese led the Pioneers in assists with seven.
