Thief River Falls, Minn. - 

The second-ranked Northland Community & Technical College women's basketball team rolled to a 104-62 win over Minnesota North College - Vermilion Saturday at the Northland Gym in Thief River Falls. 

The Pioneers opened the game on a 15-0 run and led 30-14 after one quarter was in the books. The overmatched Ironhawks kept battling but the Pioneers kept adding to their lead, taking a 57-34 lead into the locker room and a 82-45 edge through 30 minutes of play. 

Saturday's game marked the third time this season that the Pioneers eclipsed the century-mark and it was their second highest scoring total of the season, trailing a 107-point outing against Riverland on Dec. 7.

The Ironhawks had just six players in uniform on Saturday and four reached double figures in scoring. Tamia Cahee led the way with a game-high 19 points. 

The Pioneers also had four players reach double-digits in scoring, with Jade Reece leading the way with 18 points and a team-high eight assists. Also scoring in double figures for the Pioneers were Tiyana Schwinghammer, who recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 boards, Josie Iverson, with 14 points, and Rylie Klopp with 13 points. All 11 Pioneers scored in Saturday's game. 

The Pioneers improved to 11-4 overall and 1-0 in MCAC North play. The Ironhawks fell to 2-13 overall and 0-1 in the MCAC North.
