Northland baseball splits double headers against Prairie State, Bergan to open spring trip

The Northand baseball team got off to a 2-2 start on its spring trip by splitting doubleheaders on Monday and Tuesday. The Pioneers dropped game one Monday against Prairie State (IL) by a score of 3-2, but bounced back to claim the nightcap 8-7.

The Pioneers needed eight innings to pull off an 8-7 win over Bergan (N.J.) in game one Tuesday.The Bulldogs bounced back to claim game two by a score of 19-5.

The Pioneers were swept by Salem (N.J.)  in their third consecutive day of action by scores of 6-0 and 15-8.

The Pioneers are off Thursday, March 13, but will return to action Friday with games against Bergan at 8 a.m. and North Dakota State College of Science at 11:15 a.m.
