The Northland men's and women's wrestling teams will compete in their respective national championship tournaments Friday and Saturday at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Competing for the Northland in the NJCAA Men's Wrestling National Championship are sophomores
Josiah Crandall, 133;
Ethan Horn, 141; Christian Kirchner, 149;
Mitchell Christen, 165; and freshmen
Gabriel Michels, 125;
Kale Geiser, 157; Bryan Arevaleo, 174; and
Qilee Jackson, 184.
Competing for the Northland in the NJCAA Women's Wrestling National Invitational are sophomore Arionna Beatty, 138 pounds, and freshman Brianna Berg, 145 pounds.
Competition in both tournaments begins at 9 a.m. Friday morning with preliminary matches and the first two rounds of wrestling in both championship and consolation brackets.
Wrestling continues Friday evening at 5:45 p.m. with the quarterfinals on the championship side, plus the consolation rounds of 16 and 12.
Saturday's action begins at 9:30 a.m. with the championship semifinals and consolation quarterfinals. Session three also includes the consolation semifinals and seventh, fifth, and third-place matches.
The tournament's final session begins at 5:30 p.m. with the 2025 NJCAA Wrestling Hall of Fame induction ceremonies. The Parade of All-Americans is at 5:50 p.m., with championship matches in both the men's and women's tournaments beginning at 6 p.m.
