Brainerd, Minn. -
Northland Community & Technical College will face Central Lakes College in the semifinal round of the Region 13B Tournament Thursday at 1 p.m. at Central Lakes College in Brainerd.
The Pioneers punched their ticket to the 2025 postseason with a pair of wins over Minnesota North College - Mesabi Range on Sunday in Thief River Falls. Sunday's twin bill was effectively a play-in series. The Pioneers were 6-12 in division play with two games remaining and the Norse were 5-11 with four games remaining.
The Pioneers clinched a fourth place-finish with a 4-3 nine-inning win in game one and a 12-4 six-inning win in game two.
This year's Region 13 playoff format placed the first, second and fourth place finishers from the MCAC Northern Divison and the number two finisher from the MCAC Southern Division in Region 13B.
Region 13B playoff seedings are as follows: N1. Central Lakes (20-0, 29-11); S2 Minnesota West (8-4, 9-6); N2 MNC-Itasca (15-5, 18-10); N4 Northland (8-12, 8-14).

3 p.m. - Game 3: Loser of Game 1 vs. Loser of Game 2

Friday, May 9
11 a.m. - Game 5 (Game 3 winner vs. Game 4 loser)
1 p.m. - Game 6 (Game 4 winner vs. Game 5 winner)
3 p.m. - Game 7 if necessary

All games will be played at Central Lakes College and streamed via CLC Broadcasting on YouTube.
Admission
Cost of admission is $8 for adults and $5 for seniors (cash only). Concessions (cash only) will be available.
