Jeremy Richardson

Jeremy Richardson was named Head Coach of the Pioneer Football Program in May 2019.  Richardson, a native of Bloomington, IL, is the eleventh Head Coach to take the helm of the program in its 43-year history.

Richardson joins the Pioneers from Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, TX, where he served as assistant athletic director. Prior to Trinity Valley, Richardson served as the offensive line and special team’s coach at Texas College in Tyler, TX. Richardson also was an assistant football coach for Bacone College in Muskogee, OK, as well as head football and quarterback coach for Joliet Junior College in Joliet, IL. In addition, Richardson held an assistant coaching internship with the Minnesota Vikings in 2015.

In his coaching career, Richardson led Joliet Junior College to the Graphic Edge Bowl in 2007 and 2009 resulting in championships both years. In 2009, Richardson’s offense rewrote the record books breaking single-season passing and touchdown yardage records. Richardson has coached numerous NJCAA student-athletes who subsequently earned scholarships in the PAC-12, MAC, and Big 12 football conferences and mentored several NJCAA All-Americans and MFC All-Conference athletes.

Richardson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Aurora University and a Master of Science degree in training and development from Northern Michigan University.
